Royal Canadian Air Force – 100 Years – April 1, 2024

The ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE centennial flag raising here in Stouffville at the community flag pole at the Leisure Center on April 1. Later in the evening the Stouffville Legion, Legion cenotaph, and 19 on the Park will be illuminated in blue!! Passing of Comrade Jay Riviere – Feb 2024

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 459 is truly saddened by the passing of our 2nd Vice President and Sports Chairperson and a long-time Legion member, Comrade Jay Riviere, on Thursday, February 29th.

Our hearts and prayers are with Mary, Owen and all his family at this difficult time.

Memorial Park Commemorative Spaces Survey – March 2024

Please take part in the town survey. Your opinions on the Canada 150 Garden, the relocation of the Cenotaph memorial to Memorial Park, and the donation of the Leopard Tank are highly valued.

On September 13, 2023, the Stouffville Legion Branch #459
requested that Stouffville Council relocate
the town’s Cenotaph from the Legion on Mostar Street
to Memorial Park.

Public Speaking Branch Competition – Youth February 4, 2024

Thank you to the Stouffville and Markham students that participated in our first Public Speaking Competition at Stouffville Legion Branch 459 on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Thank you also to our Judges, Scrutineer, Time Keeper and Cadet volunteer for your support in this great cause for our youth. First Prize Winners will share their speeches at a Zone Competition soon.
